It's hard to reckon that a whole decade has passed. Things felt so different then. Our gadgets were less advanced what they are currently, and social media was just emerging. We used to spend our time watching TV, and we didn't have the always-on internet that we do nowadays. It feels like a lifetime ago.

Entertainment/Leisure/Recreation often involved physical activities/centered around social gatherings/revolved around traditional forms of media. There was a strong sense of community/feeling of belonging/shared identity that many people miss/feel is lost/long for today.
It's hard to imagine how things were/life in that era/a world without modern conveniences. Yet, there's a certain charm/nostalgia/romanticism to the way things used to be/that bygone era/a simpler time.
